Residential Roofing

I have roofed many homes in and around Montgomery and nearly all of them were from referrals. People refer me to their friends, co-workers and family not because I am the fastest or the cheapest, but because I am the cleanest, safest and most thorough roofer in Montgomery.

I'm picky about my work. I believe in doing things right and this involves a level of commitment and workmanship that other roofing companies just can't give. For instance, when roofing a house I put up scaffolding to protect the homeowner's property from damage, and when removing the old roof I put up a knee wall along the eve to keep the old roofing debris from getting on the ground. This keeps the yard clean and free of nails.

Here are some pictures of my scaffolding and knee wall.

The care I take in removing the old roof suggests the care I take when installing the new roof. Installing a new roof requires a certain level of skill and attention to detail. Mistakes are often made when one gets in a hurry, and these little mistakes can result in big repair costs later on.

While other roofing companies compete with each other on speed and price, I compete with quality and professionalism, which places me in a class of my own and there are no other competitors.

Roofing Shingles

Architectural Shingle 3-tab Shingle

I prefer to install architectural shingles instead of the standard 3-tab shingles because they are better. Architectural shingles protect your home better since they are heavier and don't have the cut-outs that define 3-tabs.

Due to the heavier mat base, architectural shingles are heavier than standard 3-tab shingles, thus making them less susceptible to curling and wind damage. Typically 3-tab shingles weight about 240 lbs per square, where as an architectural shingle square can weigh 100 to 200 lbs more.

The cut-outs on 3-tabs are the weak spot because they allow wind and water to get under the shingle. When this happens a high wind can tear the shingle off the house or blow water under the shingle where it will rot the decking and/or get into the house.

Small Sampling

Here is a very small sampling of the houses I've roofed.
